Addo
Elephant Park
The
Addo Elephant Park was originally
proclaimed in 1931 and contained only elevent
elephants at the time. Today the Addo Elephant
Park is home to over 450 elephants, Cape
buffalo, black rhino, and a wide variety of
antelope species, as well as the unique and
flightless dung beetle which is exclusively
found in Addo. The Addo Elephant Park incorporates
the largest coastal sundune field in the southern
hemisphere. The evenings belong to the howl
of the Happy Jackal.
The
Addo Elephant Park is the only park you can
witness the beauty of the The Big 7 (Elephant,
rhino, lion, buffalo, leopard, whales and great
white sharks) in their natural habitat and environment.
There
are a wide variety of Sundays
River accommodation and activity options
close to Addo Elephant Park. |
